Wraparound Care Venue Manager

Location: Lyons Hall Primary School
Pay: £13–£15 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (flexible)
Start Date: 1st September 2025

Monday-Friday 3-6pm (Term Time Only)

Holiday Camp Work available in the school holidays.

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and caring Wraparound Care Settings Manager to join our growing team and lead one of our new settings with confidence and creativity.

Role Overview:

As the Wraparound Care Settings Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of one of our before and after-school care clubs. You’ll ensure the highest standards of care and play opportunities, manage staff, liaise with parents and schools, and help shape a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the wraparound setting, ensuring smooth and safe running at all times

  • Lead, motivate, and support a small team of playworkers and activity professionals.

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote play, learning, and social development

  • Maintain accurate records in line with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and school staff

  • Ensure the environment is clean, safe, and well-organised

  • Handle any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner

  • Monitor attendance and manage bookings using our systems

  • Support recruitment, staff training, and performance reviews as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a childcare or playwork setting (essential)

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred)

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare, playwork, or equivalent (desirable)

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A caring, energetic, and hands-on approach

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

  • First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Safeguarding certificates (or willingness to obtain)​
